Blues turn to yellow
June 1, 2007Today, Chelsea fans get a glimpse of the away kit for 07/08 season. In discussing the concept of the kit with the board and players, the critical factor was to match the kit to the big dream and ambition of the players. Chelsea have had a longstanding tradition of wearing yellow on the pitch and to ride with the times, it was thought to put a different twist to it, by making it in the shade of electricity yellow.

This new kit uses the latest in fabric technologies making playing more comfortable for the players. ForMotion is the three-dimensional technology which lets the player move with much freedom with the fabric following his every movement. It follows the curve of the player’s body and mimic his moves for the duration of the match. ClimaCool is the second technology, retained to regulate the body temperature, driving away heat and sweat. Critical sweat areas of the body were identified, allowing the designers to apply the technology where it is needed the most. Staying cool despite the immense heat of the game becomes so much easier with this technology.
Over the next two weeks, more of the kit’s new look will be revealed until its complete revelation on June 14, 2007. Only three days after, it goes on sale at the Chelsea Megastore and the Blues will first showcase the stunning kit during their match against Korea’s Samsung Suwon Bluewings at Home Depot Center in Carson, California.
Fans can now preorder via the online Megastore.
PS This is sure to look so much brighter and better than Arsenal’s and Liverpool’s away kits.
